It is always sweet working with singer and rock opera star, Sarah. She is a talented musician and voice instructor (Carpe Vocum) and, as it happens, a natural in front of the camera. (Need I say, her costume closet is extraordinary?!)
I’ve worked with her several times and love it every time she books a session with me. In the past, we’ve had a rock opera shoot with ruffles and huge wigs and bling among others and this time we got to update her headshots and personal profile imagery as a musician and music instructor.
I’ve done photos for Sarah several times before. It’s always a treat when she pulls out an instrument and puts on a personal show for our session.
We pulled out some lights and got crafty outdoors, turning our environmental setting into somewhat of a studio look. The accordion is one of my personal favorites. This is what makes my job as a portrait photographer more fun than work!
Thank you, Sarah, for yet another amazing session! I can’t wait to have another opportunity to shoot with you and other talented musicians in the Portland area. There is so much creativity and talent in this city. I’m ready for more headshots!
