Some things I loved about Jackie & Nic’s wedding at Hotel Vintage Plaza, downtown Portland…
First, Jackie’s dress was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen… very fifties, a frilly cut just below the knees with plenty of lace and tool.
Second, the couple was cool as could be… entirely laid back, enjoying the day and immersed in each other.
Third, Joy the little redhead flower girl was a character! How many four-year-old flower girls rock the camera with silly faces and all? She was awesome.
Fourth, Hotel Vintage Plaza is run by wonderful, inviting staff who are so sweet and really go the extra mile to help out with a pleasant smile. Not to mention the downtown location is super convenient and close to fantastic Portland photo ops, like the infamous ‘Portland’ sign and the train station. AND the ceremony site is in a super intimate wine cellar!
Finally… I got to shoot the wedding with one of my all time favorite Portland-gone-Denver photographers… Joni Schrantz. It was all around a fun and beautiful day!
Congratulations Jackie and Nic. You are a perfect match, and I loved being part of your day.
