I had so much fun with Anna during our senior session together. I got to show up at her house and meet her cat, Apollo. He was fighting off a bit of a cold, so we didn’t take long. We loaded up her clothes and headed up hill to Pittock Mansion. The last time I was at Pittock Mansion for a senior session, it was for my own. That’s right, I actually was a senior at one point in my life… and had my photos taken (by my boyfriend’s aunt… very unofficial) up at Pittock Mansion. Amazingly, the ol’ house looked exactly the same, and was an awesome spot for some good greenery and rustic old world charm. After a bit, we descended into the city to the Pearl… a favorite spot for senior photos. I loved the variety these two locations provided… and they’re so close that it’s an easy jump. The old brick buildings and stone work in the Pearl is awesome, and there’s a good mix of industrial stuff too… I could easily shoot location sessions there for the rest of my life and never repeat the same session twice. Not only this, but Barista, one of my favorite Portland coffeehouses, is right there… providing killer espresso and a bathroom for outfit changes. Score!
Most importantly for our session… Anna was awesome. She was a natural and posing and looking amazing. That always makes my job way easier ;). The best part, though… she is incredibly fun to be around. I loved spending the day with her… and her super cool mom, Becky. I have to be honest… usually, I put limits on how long mom can tag along during our senior sessions… but Becky was so awesome! I was stoked to have her along! She was so helpful and it was sweet to see a mom and daughter as such great friends… they are both such a pleasure to be around.
Thank you both, Anna & Becky. I had a wonderful time with you both and I am so excited to have you come see your photos. They look amazing! Here is a little teaser package that I put together for you. See you soon!
